Reell Torque Inserts

Saint Paul, MN April 27, 2009 -

Reell Precision Manufacturing, a world leader in custom and standard torque hinges has created an entirely new category of torque control hinges: the torque insert.

Manufactured using Reell's patented ReellTorq technology, TI100 Series Torque Inserts are designed to be press fit into a variety of materials via a keyed cavity.

Reell Torque Inserts are cosmetically appealing, providing pivoting capability without the visible appearance of a hinge. Because they require no fasteners they can be more cost effective and easier to assemble than traditional hinges.

T100 Torque Inserts work well with die cast metals such as zinc, extruded metals, and molded plastics. They are currently available in two package sizes, a 10 mm outside diameter which fits into a 14 mm cavity, and a 15 mm outside diameter, which fits into a 23 mm cavity.

Reell Torque Inserts are suitable for a variety of markets including consumer electronics, automotive, medical and dental. They have been used in a wide range of motion control applications such as:

• video screens
• small enclosures (e.g. toolboxes)
• pivoting devices (e.g. dental trays)
• lighting fixtures (providing horizontal or vertical rotation)
• medical arms and carts

All Reell Torque Inserts feature Reell's patented "ReellTorq" technology, which provides a smooth, quality feel, constant and equal torque in both directions, and industry leading quality and reliability.
